The “Transport” branch of the Connecting Europe Facility finances sustainable urban mobility and efficient connection with regional and European networks. Funding supports cleaner public transport, alternative fuels infrastructure, smart traffic management systems and upgrades to urban nodes on major transport corridors to improve safety, reduce congestion, and cut emissions. Within the CEF, the Transport Alternative Fuels Infrastructure facility focuses on urban nodes and finances the electrification of public transport networks for cities.
