With its popular car-free day, European Mobility Week (16-22 September every year) is the European Commission’s awareness-raising campaign on sustainable urban mobility. Local authorities are invited to hold a car-free day and activities during the main week and to encourage a shift towards active mobility, public transport and other sustainable transport options. The campaign includes a prestigious annual award.
