The Cities Portal: your single-entry point to EU support for cities

The Cities Portal is the first step towards translating the EU Agenda for Cities into practical pathways, making it easier for cities of all sizes to explore and seize opportunities offered by the European Union.

The portal acts as a gateway for urban actors, offering the possibility to:

  • Explore EU policies

and funding opportunities for cities of all sizes.

  • Find tools, data, and examples

    of what works in practice.

  • Join networks

    and partnerships across Europe.

  • Stay informed

about upcoming calls, webinars and urban policy events.

  • Access a step-by-step pathway

that reflects cities’ real needs: Plan, Apply, Deliver, Connect, Learn.

Whether you are preparing an integrated strategy, a local climate plan, searching for funding or looking to join a European city network, the Cities Portal helps you to make the most of opportunities offered by the EU for your city and the people who live there.

Urban Data

Today, access to data is at the heart of urban transformation -  informing decisions, shaping policies, and ensuring effective action on the ground. The Urban data section offers a gateway into key EU databases and visual tools to support planning, decision-making and collaboration in cities of all sizes.

Through interactive maps and linked datasets, users can explore trends on climate, mobility, housing, digitalisation and more -  in their own city and across the European Union. By connecting EU-wide data with local realities, the Urban data section helps cities see where they stand, learn from peers, and turn evidence into action.
