Classic Quartet
Collect as many cards as you can from the same category by asking other players for the ones you need. There are eight categories to explore: bridges, metros, parks, nature, tourism, landmarks, national monuments, and industrial heritage[AB1] [MD2] , each with four unique projects. A quartet is a set of four cards from the same category. Game for 3–6 players.
How to play:
Shuffle and deal the cards to all players. Keep your hand hidden from everyone else. On your turn, ask any player for a specific card. For example, you can say: "Do you have 2B?". If they have the card, they hand it over and you take another turn. If they do not have the card, their turn begins.When you collect all four cards in a category, put the quartet on the table. Keep playing until all quartets are completed. The player with the most quartets wins the game.
Advanced Quartet
In this mode you compare one of the four attributes on the cards:
Size – stars from 1 to 5 (exceptionally 6) and adjusted to each category
Daily visitors (estimated) – same as for size
EU funding – EU contribution in euro
Opening – year the project was opened/renovated (the most recent year wins)
How to play:
Place the shuffled cards face down in one pile. Each player takes a card. The first player chooses an attribute on their card, and reads it aloud, e.g. "Porto Metro. Size: 5 stars". The other players reveal the same attribute on their card. The highest value wins the round. If players are tied, they compare another attribute on the same cards. The winner takes all the cards, place them aside and starts the next round. The player with the most quartets wins. If tied, the player with the most cards wins.
